The festival of the departmental committee of the Federation of amateur theater companies (FNCTA) finally returned to the front of the stage, the weekend of May 6 to 8, after the interruption linked to the Covid crisis for the past two years. This festival ended with a positive assessment given the diversity of the seven shows presented within the Oésia complex.
The troupes of the Théâtre de l'Escapade, the Entracte, the Atelier des Actes and the Théâtre de l'Entourloupe, familiar with this festival, were joined this time by two recent troupes: the Criii de Joué- lès-Tours and Never Too Much Art in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. The subjects treated were very diversified and original on themes leading to reflection or lighter comedies, with also some nice surprises such as the staging of the play Autour du songe. Of course, each performance was greatly applauded.

Theatrical evening in Nozilia
NR Posted on 02/12/2020
Saturday evening, the association of the Théâtre du Fossé César de Nouzilly received the troupe from the Atelier des Actes, which presented their play, A landscape on the grave. The text, written in 1994 by Fanny Mentré, plunges the viewer into the theme developed by the author. : the difficulty of communication between humans, at all ages, especially in urban areas. The bias to challenge the viewer makes the text sometimes abrupt to understand. However, its mastery by the actors nevertheless makes it possible not to get lost in the many messages, delivered over the sketches. Sexual assault on a child, meaning of life, language incomprehension, poverty, death… Nothing will be spared to the public. Also, the meticulous staging, as well as a controlled dose of cynical humor allows the viewer to avoid getting tired of the tragic dimension of the whole. Inhabited by the nothingness of their history, stuck in an existential crisis that the different stages of life fail to annihilate, the characters ultimately become more and more endearing. Associated with a minimalist decor but with cleverly studied verticality, whose spaces clearly stigmatize the void, the staging of Alain Destouches makes the show oscillate between Game over by Samuel Beckett and a painting by Edward Hopper. A harsh but very successful show, thanks to actors, admittedly amateurs but talented. They invited the Nouzillais public to share their impressions, at the end of a performance that was applauded for a long time. Woody Allen would not have denied the evening, he who declared that, finally, " life is a disease, sexually transmitted, and constantly fatal ... "
Simple and tender words about an illness
Yeah, that's the nickname of that little girl who always uses it instead of saying yes. Dreamy and phlegmatic, she spends most of her time with her Granny Blanche, her eccentric grandmother. Together, they play badminton with an invisible shuttlecock, dance at the local tavern, tell each other stories about the great women of history… And then, Pépé Lulu died three months ago. Granny Blanche needs some company and she's seriously starting to derail ! Yeah, don't understand. Her parents say Grandma Blanche has one thing in her head, " stuff with a weird name ". Granny Blanche, instead, claims that it was Léon Zitrone who stole it from her. This funny and touching dialogue puts simple and tender words on Alzheimer's disease. Fabrice's play Melquiot moves by her fantasy and the tenderness with which she evokes this disease, and speaks with poetry and humor of the links which unite the generations.
A piece very appreciated by the spectators, which mixes laughter and emotion, a nice decor, well supported by light effects, and a beautiful musical accompaniment, very good interpreted over there troop of Atelier des Actes, Lucile Bacquié, Nathalie Delepine-Smyslov, Patrick Laillier, directed by Alain Buttons. In the opinion of the spectators a difficult subject, but well approached, and which allows to better apprehend and understand this disease.

Qualified for the national final
A coronation which therefore takes place after six performances, like so many troops engaged, of very high quality: " I would give a score of 8 out of 10 ”to this festival, remarks Sylvain Giraud, cultural mediator at Aleppo (Association of leisure and popular education) who, for six years, has been organizing the regional round of Festhéa .
The Workshop of Acts has thus just won its place for the national final to be held in October. Last year, the Théâtre de L'Épi, a Blois association, won the Tour d'or (first national place) for its interpretation of "Vers toi, terre promise", a play written by Jean-Claude Grumberg.

" The Lady of Maxim's " at the Aubrière castle

Sunday afternoon, the park of the Château de L'Aubrière in La Membrolle-sur-Choisille hosted the theater company "L'Atelier des Actes" for the performance of "La Dame de chez Maxim", the famous play by Georges Feydeau. . The first act of a nearly three-hour comedy was performed near a small bungalow in the park, used as a backdrop. During intermission, the owners offered a refreshment to half the spectators, while the second half visited the castle with them. The second act was played on the terrace located in front of the castle. The audience particularly appreciated the comedy of many scenes and the humorous tirades of the actors who clearly enjoyed the acting. Some even took over with the actors the arias and words of certain musical scenes.
The third act was performed again in the park. An excellent moment of distraction in an exceptional setting.
The Touraine company Atelier des Actes will give a performance of the play “The Three Sisters”, by Anton Tchekhov, on Saturday.
This play takes place in a provincial town far from everything, but kept alive by the presence of a battery corps and its officers. In the house of the Prozorovs, an aristocratic Russian family at the beginning of the 20th century, three sisters have only one dream: to return to live in Moscow. To the rhythm of the seasons and of the life which passes, the spectator witnesses an increase in power of an immense distress which goes beyond the simple fate of the characters. With a lot of humor, irony and attachment, Chekhov depicts characters entangled in the bonds of life and the memory of what was.
